If you live in Charleston, South Carolina count yourself lucky. You live in one of the top 20 most beautiful cities in the US, according to Travel and Leisure magazine. But on a less positive note, you also live in a city with some of the nationโ€™s most dangerous drivers.

Charleston came in fifth on a list of the top 20 US cities with the most dangerous drivers. The 2021 study was conducted by Insurify using information from more than 2.9 million drivers worldwide.

The study found that 15.53 percent of Charleston drivers have received speeding tickets. More than 16.71 percent of Charleston drivers have been found at-fault for traffic accidents. And 1.03 percent of Charleston drivers have received a DUI violation. On a brighter note, Charleston is below average when it comes to DUI incidents.

If youโ€™ve gotten into trouble behind the wheel, turn the situation into something positive. The courts might allow you to take a defensive driving course to get the ticket dismissed. This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of your ticket, and learn to become a better driver in the process.
