Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas. The city is located in Pulaski County, and is home to former president Bill Clinton. However, being home to a former president isn’t the most fascinating thing about Little Rock.

It will probably surprise you to learn that Little Rock has some of the best drivers in the US. A 2019 insurance study ranked Little Rock as the sixth safest city for drivers. Little Rock earned this distinction by having a low number of traffic fatalities, speeding tickets, DUIs, and traffic citations. However, the city also ranked as one of the most dangerous places for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The high number of bicycle/automobile and pedestrian/automobile incidents are cause for concern. Little Rock implemented the Friendly Driver Certification Program to help drivers understand the importance of practicing safety when it comes to bicyclists and pedestrians.

You can also make Little Rock streets safer by enrolling in a defensive driving course. Perhaps you’ve received a ticket or simply want to become a better driver. Consider taking a defensive driving course. It’s well-worth your time.
